Hypnotherapy

What is hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic approach that uses the technique of hypnosis, which is simply a state of relaxed focus where you can interact with your subconscious mind in a creative way to help you achieve your desired goals.

How does hypnotherapy work?

At the beginning of our work together, we will discuss your specific goals and how hypnotherapy can be a supportive tool in achieving them. Then with your permission, I will gently guide you into a light trance to work with your subconscious mind in supporting the results you desire. In this relaxed state, you are able to hear my voice as well as adjust your body and talk to me. Most clients feel the process is meditative and very peaceful. After 20 minutes of hypnotherapy, I will guide you back into a wakeful state.

What can hypnotherapy do for me?

Hypnotherapy can be used to treat anxiety and sleep issues, as well as to support weight loss, quitting smoking and more.

Having an open and curious mind about hypnosis, a strong commitment to changing what you want to change and having trust and confidence in your therapist are all key elements in assuring a positive outcome.

Testimonials for Hypnotherapy

For years I had been terrified of public speaking in front of groups of any size.  This was not a tremendous concern of mine until I became fascinated with a therapy practice which I wanted to share and teach in large group workshops. The teaching environment required that I be able to present the techniques and conduct the process in front of many, many people.  Despite my great enthusiasm for this therapeutic work, I was paralyzed at the idea of being the “leader.”  A friend recommended that I contact Jillian, explain my dilemma and ask her to write a self-hypnosis tape for me.  Jillian customized an audio script which I listened to religiously for 21 days.  Although I did not notice anything different during that three-week immersion, when the moment came for me to get up and lead that first group, I was completely at ease.  I was thrilled at the confidence and comfort I experienced – feelings that continue in my work to this day, I am very appreciative of the transformation that Jillian’s understanding and support provided and I would highly recommend her to anyone interested in inner growth.

My counselor Jillian was terrific, I had just finished my Cancer treatments and had very high Anxiety.  I also could not even ride in a car, due to such anxiety.  We worked first on getting me mentally healthy and then getting me back riding in the car.  I started first with sitting in the car and then doing hypnosis. I am so happy to report that I have no issue with being in the car due to the therapy. We then started on Hypnosis to allow me to start driving, which I am in my local area. She is an incredible counselor and I would recommend her to anyone.

I recently had my first ever hypnotherapy session with Jillian concerning my anxiety over taking the skills part of DMV's driving test .  As a result of life stress and overthinking, I failed the test three times by making simple mistakes.  During a regular therapy session, Jillian offered trying hypnosis to help me reduce my anxiety and to feel better prepared for the next retake that afternoon. I jumped at the chance and lo and behold, it worked!  The hypnosis helped me feel confident, relaxed and ready.  I passed with flying colors. If you’re considering hypnotherapy but feeling scared, rest assured that Jillian’s methods are gentle and she truly works wonders.  I would highly recommend a hypnotherapy session to anyone who thinks they could benefit from it!
